編者按：主題為“寒假”的澎湃第五屆寒暑假征稿活動(dòng)正式啟動(dòng)至今，我們收到了不少小畫(huà)家、小作家們的作品。孩子們用文字、圖像、視頻，展示了他們眼中的寒假生活，接下來(lái)作品會(huì)陸續(xù)刊登。

今天刊登的是來(lái)自ValeyVast 英語(yǔ)俱樂(lè)部的Eva小朋友的投稿。她在春節(jié)期間去了北京，參觀了故宮，由于疫情的影響Eva看到路上的人比往年都少多了。讓我們起來(lái)讀一讀她的作文吧。

作品：《Chinese New Year》

作者： 俞名書(shū)（Eva）12歲 民辦協(xié)和雙語(yǔ)學(xué)校7A班

The new year is one of the most important festivals in China. People get together. They eat, play and watch TV. During New Year’s Eve, we eat a fancy dinner.

This year, I spent half of my winter holiday in Beijing. The weather there is not as cold as it was before. Due to the virus outbreak, there were fewer people in the malls. The few pedestrians on the road were wearing masks.

I also went to the Palace Museum. There were more people there than I expected. We went to the city wall just before the park was closed. I think I was lucky, because this was the last chance to walk on the wall for a long time. The next day the wall was going to be repaired.

By the time I got back to Shanghai, the disease was very serious, so now everyone wears a mask.

This outbreak is really nasty. Why do they eat venison?
